The Day of the Tajik Press will be solemnly celebrated in the Sughd region

On March 11, the Day of the Tajik Press will be solemnly celebrated in the Sughd region. This was reported to NIAT “Khovar” in the press service of the chairman of the Sughd region.

According to the plan of events dedicated to the Day of the Tajik Press and the 110th anniversary of the first Tajik newspaper “Bukhoroi Sharif”, there will be meetings of veteran journalists with students and schoolchildren on the topic “The Message of the Leader of the Nation – a guide for society”, visits to veterans, traditional chess tournaments, evening in memory of famous journalists Usmonjon Tojiboev and Negmat Sharif, scientific and practical conferences and other events.

Also, within the framework of the celebration of the Day of the Tajik Press, a competition for the Prize of journalists of the Sughd region named after Khoja Sodik will be held. This year the competition will be held with the support of the region’s leadership in two nominations – press and WEB-journalism, and television and radio. Journalists from print and electronic publications, television and radio, members of the Union of Journalists of Tajikistan who work in local media or represent central and foreign publications in the region will be able to take part in it.

The winners of the competition, who will be awarded 3,000 somoni and diplomas, will be determined and announced on March 11.
