Project «Advancing Media Freedom Through Legal Reform in Tajikistan», funded by the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF)

Association «Public assessors of the Republic of Tajikistan» (APART) in partnership with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tajikistan and Public Organization «Rural Development Initiatives» (RDI) within the framework of the project implementation «Advancing Media Freedom Through Legal Reform in Tajikistan» the purpose of which is to raise media awareness. Within the framework of this project, on February 15, 16 and 17, 2022, a three-day training will be held on the topic “Media lawyers on protecting the rights and interests of media representatives”.
The program covers current topics such as “Legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of mass media”, “International standards for the protection of the rights and interests of media representatives”, as well as “Topical issues of teaching information literacy”, which will be conducted by experienced trainers Chairman of the Bar Association of the Sughd region Sadriddin Saidov and journalist Jamshed Marupov.
