On November 26, World Information Day is celebrated, which has been held annually since 1994 at the initiative of the International Academy of Informatization (MAI), which has general consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council, and the World Information Science Parliament (VIP). On this day in 1992, the first International Informatization Forum was held. Today World Information Day is celebrated in many countries around the world.
What is information? This is the entire set of information about the world around us, about all kinds of processes occurring in it, which can be perceived by living organisms, electronic machines and other systems.
Today information is almost the main value in the modern world. Everyone knows the famous phrase: “Who owns the information – he owns the world.”
Moreover, the amount of information is growing every day. The digital future, which could not have been thought of before (digital television and radio, high-precision computers, laptop, tablet, smartphone, Internet …), is becoming a familiar digital present.

“Who owns the information, he owns the world.” Many of us have heard this catch phrase. But, probably, not everyone knows where it came from. Meanwhile, her story is very interesting.
The phrase was first spoken by Nathan Mayer Rothschild, a German banker with Jewish roots. He became known all over the world not only thanks to his fabulous capital, which he managed to put together in London, where he founded his bank “N M Rothschild & Sons”, but also thanks to this famous phrase.
The Rothschilds not only came up with the famous phrase “Who owns information, he owns the world,” they prepared everything so that information would get to them in the first place. For this, the Rothschild brothers had at their disposal a staff of kind of information carriers. They were pigeons with coded instructions tied to their paws.
By the way, during the years of independence of the country, the Leader of the Nation signed other laws of the Republic of Tatarstan – “On Television and Radio Broadcasting” (1996), “On Informatization” (2001), “On Information” (2002), “On the List of Information Containing State Secrets” ( 2002), “On the protection of information” (2012), the Concept of information security of the Republic of Tajikistan “(2003),” On periodicals and other mass media (2013), which are aimed at the development of legal regulation of information relations on the basis of compliance with international norms in the field of information society.
Information is all that information and knowledge that only exists in the world and which is practically available to any person. And this information is very, very much. Incommensurably more than a few decades ago.
