Project «Advancing Media Freedom Through Legal Reform in Tajikistan», funded by the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF)

Association «Public assessors of the Republic of Tajikistan» (APART) in partnership with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tajikistan and Public Organization «Rural Development Initiatives» (RDI) started project implementation «Advancing Media Freedom Through Legal Reform in Tajikistan» the purpose of which is to raise media awareness. Within the framework of this project, a program was prepared for the Talk – show “The ROLE OF THE MEDIA IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A DEMOCRATIC STATE”, which is fully devoted to all aspects of the relationship of a democratic state with the media.
The program includes information about democracy as a form of government of the state; about the role of the media in the development of democracy; about economic factors in the activities of the media and a democratic state; about the legal status of the media in a democratic state; about media freedom as the basis of a democratic state; about changes in the media system in a democratic state;
